November Update Letter:
Finally, a building for BCF
  Beloved Friends of BCF,

At this time of remembering all the things for which we are thankful to the Lord, I trust that you are having a very blessed time of giving testimony of the hope that is in you.

In this update, I want to tell you some of the wonderful things the Lord is doing here at the BCF office.

  Ministry Report

We are about to buy a building for our international headquarters office! We have always rented space before, and for the first time, we have the opportunity to buy a building that we can use for courses as well as for office and warehouse space.

We have a commitment not to increase our monthly occupancy expenses, especially in this economy. With this purchase, we will actually be able to lower our monthly occupancy costs and eliminate future increases in rent, while at the same time increase our floor space.

Although this recently-constructed building was built out with most of the features BCF needs and is almost ready for us to move in, there are a few modifications that need to be made to better adapt if for the ministry. In addition, we are spending down some of our reserve funds (largely funds from an estate donation) to pay for a significant portion of the building.

If you would like to partner with us to better equip the new building for courses and ministry and to replenish some of our reserves, please consider donating to our “Building Purchase and Improvements” fund. We greatly appreciate those of you who support BCF on a monthly basis. As most of you know, even as a non-profit missions/training organization, we do not have fund-raising campaigns. But whether or not you have donated before, we want to make you aware of this opportunity to give for a one-time need specifically for the building.

If you send a donation to this fund, please identify that you want the monies to be designated for the building. Depending on the amounts given, we can quickly provide the building upgrades for administration, shipping, and courses. You will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.

We also would love to have you visit our new space in Indio, California and even attend a course there, starting in 2012. The purchase is in escrow, and should be completed before Christmas! We can hardly wait to be able to have courses here several times a year.

As work progresses toward the purchase, improvements, and preparation for courses, we will keep you informed. We want to give you the wonderful opportunity to give and to co-labor with us to expand BCF’s worldwide ministry of in-depth biblical discipleship.

A note on materials The Chinese Student Workbook, both in Traditional and Simplified text, is almost ready for printing. And … the Korean work is almost ready! Please pray for both teams to be strengthened and encouraged as they finish their precious work.
