The
Biblical Counseling Foundation
(BCF) is organized to train and equip
members of the body of Christ to
face the challenge of living in a
fallen world and to prepare them to
disciple/counsel others using the
Bible as their only authoritative source.
BCF's training program is based
strictly on the complete authority
and sufficiency of the Scriptures.
BRIEF HISTORY
Established in 1974, BCF is a
non-profit ministry founded as
a labor of love. From the very
beginning, the BCF founders
recognized that they were called
to be a training resource to
churches but not to establish BCF
branches or offices that compete
with local church ministries.
Discipleship/counseling training
should be conducted under the
loving authority and leadership
of the local body of believers
(Ephesians 4:11-12). In turn, those
who are faithful to the Lord are
to be trained to help others
(Galatians 6:1-5; II Timothy 2:2).
